    Default Upgrading d

For team and league in sig. currently tied for 1st. Been talking to 2 gms who are in bottom 5 of league. Looking to upgrade my d(Matheson or johns) Josi and Hedman are available. The Josi owner wants Matheson and eriksson ek, and the Hedman owner wants mantha, KOMAROV or mantha and a 1st round entry pick. No matter what deal I do I need KOMAROV to be a part of it for cap reasons. So if he's not in trade, I'll need to drop him. I know both deals in a one year league are no brainer, but what about keepers? Hedman worries me about his contract next year(goes from 4mill to 7.5) Josi however stays at 4mill for 3 more seasons. But cost me Matheson, eriksson ek and KOMAROV. Here's a list of the top 5 free agents that I could add for under 4 mill. Thoughts? Thanks very much in advance. And yeah free agency has pretty slim pickings

I don't have the cap space for both. Long term salary wise tho who is the better option?

Josi is the smarter buy because of his bargain contract. I dont blame you for fearing Hedman. That next contract is going to be expensive.

I would go for the Josi deal. He's a bargain. See if the other owner will take something off the original deal if you add in Komarov to balance the salary.
