Streit for Selanne or P.M. Bouchard

Keeper league, pts only (D goals = 3pts), no positional requirements (just 9 forwards, 6 D, 1 tender, 4 reserves)

I have Streit.

In contention this season, and could use a scoring forward, as I lost Jagr and have Rads on the bench, likely for the season.
I am stacked on D and could absorb the loss, especially with Streit looking to have a serious dip in production on the Island. But, I think he is pure offense wherever he goes, and getting 20 min per night and being the main offensive weapon on the back end, make losing him a difficult choice.

If I make the move, I would be leaning towards Selanne, as I am going for it this season. Long term, of course Bouchard would be an easy answer, but I think that Teemu should be good as ever for the next two seasons. I am hesitant to take a chance on P.M. being that he plays in Minny.

A) Keep Streit - offensive D are not to be dealt!
B) Selanne - his 40-40 potential can seal it for you!
C) Bouchard - just entering his prime. Big year ahead!

In pts only league, I don\'t think Selanne and Bouchard are too far off.

If it were a G weighted league, I agree that Selanne has the value. But if Selanne is somewhere around 75 - 80+ pts, and Bouchard is somewhere around 70+ pts, I think his long-term upside is tough to pass on.

Although, I still think Selanne has 90 pt upside, so depending on how many forwards you keep, I could see still choosing him.

I agree your D depth makes Streit on the Isle expendable.

Thanks for pointing that out. I should clarify that there are 2 points for a goal, 1 point for an assist, 3 points for Dman goal.

I guess I don\'t really see P.M. as much of an offensive threat, but want to make it clear that I may be undervaluing him a great deal, as I see him as the second centre (Koivu given top line, no?) on a team that will struggle to score goals.

If I am missing the boat and should grab him, please let me know, as my trading partner will do that deal, but is unsure about Selanne.

I like Selanne a bit better for this year. I think he has a decent chance to maintain his PPG pace over the course of the full season. I see 75 points as being his minimum.

Bouchard keeps inproving though, so I could see him flirting with 75+ points as well, even in Minny. I just wonder if he would end up on the top line with Gabby. He might not as they are both RW.

I\'d probably go with Selanne for this year.

i\'m pegging Selanne for more pts this season than PMB and definitely more goals so as soon as you indicated that goals were with double value then i definitely fall on the Selanne side
