Don't forget the assist too... I watched the game v Minny and TBH Kopitar played ok from what i saw, still went to the net, still moved the puck well in the offensive zone. Can't compare him to previous viewings in the first half but what I saw has me optimistic for the second half

I watched about 3 LA games of the last 5. He has looked dangerous 2 out of the 3 games. He could have had even more points in those two but he was robbed a few times and the bounces didn't seem to be going his way. In one of the three games, however, he looked completely flat. Fell down half a dozen times for no reason. Weird. Just seemed lifeless. At any rate, things look to be improving for him. Here's to hoping

He def looked dangerous last night. Let's hope he can build on this rather than fall off the face of the earth for another 10 games.

Would love nothing more than to be starting him again on my roster... he's basically been a placeholder for half the season.

Kopitar is a king (no pun intended). You just never count him out. The ONLY worry I've ever had about him is declining SOG totals, that's it.

Hehe, lets not get to far ahead of ourselves. He still only has 4 goals on the season. That said, it is nice to see him putting up assists at least. He looked great again last game. The goals will come. Just happy to have him back.

Wonko, I'll gladly "get ahead of myself" when it comes to Kopitar. I've had him on my squad for 5 years now and all this guy does is produce, notwithstanding bad starts/stretches. Look at his stats since year 1. Worst recent season was 64 pts in 79 in 14/15, and that was after a brutal start. Last year's start was terrible, but he ends up with 74 pts, good for 12th overall in the NHL and ahead of guys like Ovi, Backstrom, Giroux, Tavares, Bergeron. He'll go on runs where he puts up 4 assists in a game, torrid stretches, and makes up for bad starts. So hell yeah, I'll recommend everyone take a sanity pill when considering him as done or anything like that. And I'm not even pointing to his plus minus which has been stellar for years, for leagues where that counts.

Are there concerns? Yes. First, LA is not looking great offensively, but I'd bet they turn it up, and probably bring in fwd help soon to address that. They've got a great puck moving D corps so really just need a boost at W (Gabby isn't the answer, they know that). Also, I don't like his declining SOG totals. And he's turning 30 soon.

But in the end, I think Kopitar is a massive buy low right now, although that window is start getting to close fast.
