RIP CF. I always loved that you were one of the very first strong but smoking hot leading ladies; for me, anyway.

I am done with it, but sadly, 2016 isn't over yet...

Sad that she is gone at 60. As I get older, 60 doesn't seem so old...

RIP to my favorite princess from a galaxy far, far away. Never gets old watching her strangle Jabba the Hutt while in a gold bikini.

And today I heard her mother, Debbie Reynolds has been hospitalized. Terrible!

All this talk about "2016" is beyond ridiculous (not referring only to the dobber forum, but to the internet as a whole). The death of celebrities is going to become more frequent as time goes on simply for the fact that there are more celebrities available to die.

Or, keep pretending the calendar year is cursed for some reason.

Add her name to the 2016 list of celebs who have passed.

Do you think that people ACTUALLY think that the year 2016 is cursed? People can't say "Hrrrm... is it just me, or has there been a lot of celebrity deaths 2016" without you saying they are "beyond ridiculous"? I haven't crunched the numbers, but it seems to me that there have been more significant celebrity deaths in 2016 than in 2015. How ridiculous am I?

The number of people who played in movies, and are getting older, is only increasing with every passing year, so it makes sense that it seems like more "significant" (not sure how this is defined to be honest) celebrities are passing away. In actual numbers it could very well be the case.

I wouldn't put anything past the general public when it comes to belief in curses or voodoo though. We are a dumb, dumb species.

Just to prove that 2016 is an exceptionally bad year for celebrities, I predict that NOBODY famous will die in 2017.

Yeah, it seems ridiculous to call 2016 cursed, but no more ridiculous than to wager money on professional hockey players out scoring their counterparts and calling it fantasy hockey. Believe it or not, there are people who think fantasy sports is ridiculous.

Agree that as more and more people become celebrities due to the expansive exposure they get nowadays then it only stands to reason that it seems like more of them die every year. In my opinion, there certainly seemed like a lot of famous people died this year.

It could be that the very idea of a curse is silly. Fantasy hockey may be frivolous but at least it has a basis in reality.

A lot of these people had high profile lifestyles that likely included a lot of drug and alcohol use especially during their hay day in the 70-80s......it's now 30 years later so it's not really a curse so much as a result of their history.
