I'd say Carlson if i had to pick one, but either way I'd expect the difference to be minimal.
There's a bit of uncertainty there if you believe the Blues will possibly move Shatty before the deadline. I'll believe it when I see it, but I can see the logic.
RETIRED
Shattenkirk. Washington appears to be playing everything safe for the playoffs. I hate it.
I want to say Carlson, especially with the injury risk factor favouring him. However, Shattenkirk and him will likely be close.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
I gotta vote for Carlson. Shattenkirk is injury prone and habitually declines in the second half of the season.

Carlson for me but, barring injuries, I don't see the difference being big enough to really matter
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Carlson for me, but like everyone says above, it's close.

Flip a coin here... I'd go with the above and say Carlson. I don't think Washington has made their playoff push yet and they have better hockey yet to play. Ovie also hasn't had his typical yearly explosion yet and I also think he'll have a stretch where he's really hot on the PP. Carlson should benefit from this.
