Default Spoiler free Rogue One thread

Hey all. I haven't seen it yet; I will probably go in the next week or two (I hate seeing a move in a packed movie theatre). Has anybody seen it? I would prefer no spoilers but would love to hear if anybody loved or hated it.

I'm going on the 21st. I've heard good things and bad. I'm going in with lower expectations, and I can let you know how it is after.

Seen it. Really enjoyed it. Great for nostalgia, pretty good action, solid story - and some questions answered (like - how did the Death Star have such a glaring weakness that it could be blown up in its entirety with one shot?). It makes all the SW movies better.

I was on the fence about going to see this in the theatre. I might go now. Thanks Dobber!

Saw it on opening night and I thought it was very good. I like it far better than The Force Awakens. The dude dressed like yoda (not kidding) at the urinal beside me, talking to his friend, wasn't very impressed though.

Saw it last night... I thought it was excellent (could have been longer) but overall very well done.

Saw it last weekend. Weakest of the series so far. Worth seeing, but not a lot of depth to the plot. Much preferred last x-mas' version.

I saw it today. I liked it, and appreciated the homage the movie payed to the original series. Lots of little things that the fans will catch. Like The Force Awakens, I did get a sense that they were playing it very safe.

Enjoyed it but didn't love it. Something about a Star Wars movie not focused on Jedi just doesn't do it for me.

I did like the old school look and feel comparable to A New Hope though.

This thread needs to have the Spoiler-Free tag removed by now.

It's been out for weeks and kind of pointless to have a thread without being able to discuss the movie.

Thought this was the best Star Wars yet, or close to it. Very dark, not very safe IMO.

I agree, it is really good. Easily in the top 3 for me, just behind The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope.
