I think the end goal is to obtain the best team humanly possible and dominate your league for as long as possible. Having Holtby/Price as a combo goes a long way. You'd have Bob &/or Allen you could flip to shore up any other weak spot.

Or you can just ride out McJesus. I mean... 100-110pts this year... what does he doe at age 20? Need to ask that question too.

I have a hunch the OP had no interest in flipping McDavid now that he's acquired him. I may be wrong but his "ESHHH" comment suggested to me that he wasn't a fan of the return despite getting Kane/Price.

Give me McDavid in both cases.

As you already have Holtby, you argueably have one of the top 2 tenders in the league. Now you argueably have the best forward for years to come.

Hedman, like the rest said, is far more name value. Have never really been a fan from a fantasy perspective. Kuch and Matthews are fantastic assets, but McDavid blows both either away, and while you probably don't replace the other with a similar asset, you could probably find a very good 60-65 point forward (add 20 extra points for McDavid and the quality/quantity doesn't really negatively impact you all that much.

Kane is enticing (led our fantasy league last year). I'm standing pat. I overpaid to get McDavid so I intend to ride him like a rented mule!!!!

I would have said no to your offer as a McD owner... I'd be more enticed by the Price/Kane offer personally.

I traded tavares and Malkin for mcdavid in my league and people thought I was crazy, I think it's mostly jealousy that they didn't have the balls to gun for mcdavid but that's just me, the price to pay for mcdavid is worth it leaps and bounds for the next 10-15 years remember that.

If I was serious about countering the Price, Kane and Draisaitl offer, i probably would have asked to sub out Draisaitl with Gaudreau. Then that would really make me think.

That's a haul of a return for McD and you should be able to sleep at night if you did. (I'm not sure I could pull the trigger, but I've owned him for 16mths now) Price would allow you to move another G to improve another area of your team as needed. You'd just own G stats with that duo
