    Default Stamkos for Hedman

Hey boys.. I have had Stamkos for 4yrs now, drafted him 2nd overall when we started LKP League.. I'm currently in first place ahead by 40pts, here is my team:

    Active lineup:

    Stamkos
    Tarasenko
    Benn
    Scheifele
    Landeskog
    Turris
    E.Staal
    Mcdavid
    Ehlers
    Larkin
    S.Reinhart
    M.Tkachuk
    Keith
    Mcdonaugh
    S.Jones
    Zaitsev
    Provorov
    Sergachev
    Rask
    Vasilevsky

    Bench:
    F.Andersen
    H.Lindholm
    K.Hayes
    Kreider
    S.Johns
    Rantanen

    Prospects:
    Demko
    Meier
    K.Connor
    Debrincat

Soooo losing Stamkos hurts.. He's pretty much been just too much drama to wanna own anymore.. i know the talent is there but waiting for a 90pts season just seems like impossible!

Hedman is a solid to elite dman (our league counts plus/minus as a pt for dmen only) currently my D is very young still and this is the first year i feel ready to compete... acquiring him as well keeps me very competitive vs the league this yr and most likely in the future since hes only 25.

I have been trying to get the GM to kick me a draft pick or something extra with Hedman... He's not budging.

    Thoughts??

    Thanks boys!

He's testing you. I'd sooner own Stamkos to Herman, but your not dealing from a position of power. First off there are a handful of alt D I'd target first.
    OEL
    Josi
    Letang
(Assuming the owner of Karlsson/Burns won't budge)

I think your selling big time low if you give Stammer away for just Hedmen.

What about targeting a younger forward like a Marner or Nylander or Puljujarvi (if you believe he'll one day flank your McDavid)
Or an equally challenging but similar upside forward like Hall who is also currently sitting dormant in the OGM's bench.
Maybe Wennberg if he came with a substantial pick booster.

I agree that hedman is a solid D, but I just don't believe he will ever earn "elite" status. Not worth it IMO.

I agree with Havana. It's an interesting idea, but not quite good enough. I tell you from experience that Hedman can be just as frustrating to own.

I completely agree I should be getting more... but Hedman can be a consistent +60pts for my league yearly because plus/minus counts for pts for dmen only.. not many dmen have that capability. Stamkos this yr is useless to my team gunning for the win.. Thats another reason tempting me... he wont be my 12th forward in total points.

Go see a team at the bottom of the standings, and target one of their best D-Man.
