Default Steen and Pastrnak on Waivers

Steen and Pastrnak just got waived in my league. Would either of these guys warrant a pickup over what I have? Marchessault is also intriguing to some extent.

I'd probably grab both and drop Perron and Nino.

Even with Nino's 200+ hits giving him an extra 20+ points in this league setup?

Perron is an easy drop for Steen IMO.

Yep. Nino doesn't get 200 hits. His career high was 175 and that was a few years ago. He normally gets around 130-150. I think Pastrnak out points Nino enough to make up the difference.

What Axe and Karma said... Marchessault is intriguing but you don't need a C IMO

Ditto here... especially Steen, that's the no brainer move. Pasta is a little riskier as he doesn't have a track record of guaranteed point seasons. The upside is there, but does he Strome this year or Trocheck it.... remains to be seen.

I am also curious to see how long this hype and newfound love for unproven 'looks good on top line' Mrarchessault lasts, or if he's for real.

Huh, well I'm not sure why I had it in my head that he did… Good call then

I have second waiver priority and I doubt team 1 will make a play for Steen. Have already dropped NN for Pastrnak (Free Agent, not Waiver...my bad). Still worth the pick up if it costs my waiver priority? FYI there's a guy in the league who can sometimes jettison some good players (like Gaudreau last year and Giroux two years ago) so there is some value to sitting atop the waiver priority list.

What's the likelihood that he's still there if you wait until after waivers to add him?
