Who would you rather have in a keeper. Points only. Cap hit (AAV) based on 73M$ cap. Gaudreau has a big pay day coming.

Gaudreau's cap is going to be high, but he's in that upper echelon of performers, and will be for a long time. If you've got room for a grade A guy on your squad, I think he'll be worth it. It's hard to know how effective Laine will be in a points league.

    Points-only, I would want Gaudreau.

It would be much closer if you had SOG in use.

Yeah. Laine is a great prospect, but he's still a prospect.

Gaudreau is elite and worth the money.

Over the next 3 years, you get a very large amount of production vs. cost out of Laine. I wouldn't trade Gaudreau straight up for Laine, but I think Laine may be more valuable.
Depends on the rest of the team, but if you have the room for Gaudreau, then he should have the overall higher performance.

I might be able to get Hellebuyck 925k and or Shea Theodore 865k plus Laine for Gaudreau

If that's possible i'd go helley and laine and not look back. Gaudreau is really good don't get me wrong but i feel like you could do so much with the saved cap room or target a vet someone has gotten low on due to age? say go after jumbo joe and his 7M, he will get close to johnny in pts only probably 65 vs 75, but you could add laine on a cheap productive deal and he could be scoring above 60 by next year, as well a potential top 10 goalie on a cheap contract. I think the added flex is a huge asset in a cap league keeper format. in any of my cap leagues i doubt anyone would give you laine for gaudreau right now but we do have other settings. i think i'd still do it if theodore was in it but he's buried with depth there in anaheim.

How big are the teams - if they are anywhere approaching 20 players+ then you have to make that trade as Gadreau will potentially eat up 10%+ with his new deal (or you'd expect to at least)...

    14F, 7D, 2G.

I think he will trade Laine and Hellebuyck for Gaudreau.

I also have Rantanen 1.6M, Duclair 894k and Burns 5.7M that interest him. I'm asking for Eichel 3.7M. I would even add a pick

I think Laine and Helly for Gaudreau is a great trade in a cap league. Depending on your cap situation, if you can afford years of $8M for Gaudreau, he's the safer bet. But personally, since I play in a salary cap league like yours, I'd pull the trigger.

Yeah 23 man league with that cap is a killer and you have to make it (I also hope P7 doesn't see this thread as you will also get a lecture on the league format )

I would take that deal. Duclair is a throw in as I don't think he sees much of an increase in what he did last year with an ultra inflated 20% scoring rate, unsustainable. Eichel will be a better producer than Gaudreau by next year possibly and Laine in is a situation to produce big numbers in the Peg. See if you can squeeze a prospect draft pick out of him.

Tell him to throw some socks on then and man up!! HaHa..

If you can afford Gaudreau thenkeep him.. If you can spend in other places, then this is a great depth move.. If the deal heats up again..
