Nicklas Backstrom\'s sprained right ankle continues to improve, according to McPhee. I saw Backstrom walking around a little later and he definitely was not limping. All I could get out of him when I approached him was, \"I\'m okay.\"

Washington Post\'s Tarik El-Bashir is reporting in his blog that Nicklas Backstrom sprained his ankle yesterday when he collided with the goal. It is too soon to know if he will miss time, but he can walk on it gingerly.
Sounds like it\'s not too bad. I\'m assuming he\'ll be fine by the time the reg. season starts, at the latest.
