Doesn't change my view of the sens offense at all, given they didn't have him at all last year, and we also don't know if he will miss any games. All this speculation is so premature.

If he misses games, they will use puempel in his place or trade for a top six LW.

Not even going to bother getting into this. We were talking about their offense. Which was very good without MacArthur and no #1C for majority of year.

I would expect Sieloff to get brutalized a bunch during whatever time he has left in training camp. Then again, attacking teammates didn't kill Steve Downie's career, unfortunately.

I dunno I think yesterday should be all that happens. I don't think it was that dirty.

This is sad to see, but it will be more sad to see him come back this year. This is when your family needs to tell you to let the dream go and come home. This is also a place where the front office should step up and offer some other options (figurehead of something) to get this guy off the ice.

How about we wait to see if he actually has a major issue here. He literally could be back in a week or something.

Pouliot is a Top 6 winger without question.

He averages like 39pts/82games, has missed like 50games over the last 2 yrs, averages like 48games/yr (60games/yr over the last 5). He does not stay on the ice long enough to be a viable top 6 replacement. You need a depth winger to pull up when he gets hurt.


If you bank of Pouliot to be a top 6 replacement of Macarthur, you’ll be disappointed in my eyes. I’d rather see Prince get a shot at that role.

He's a top 6 player. He's averaging around 45-50 points over 82 games last three seasons. Yeah he has gotten hurt but it's not a guarantee. Oilers signed him as a Top 6 player and he'd be top 6 on most teams in the league.

you should know that he wasn't used a lot in New York. That's why he left. Now in Edmonton, he's around a 50 point player. He's a good 2nd line LW.

Yes, you're right. He could be back next week for all we know.

Puempel has more goal scoring upside than MacArthur though, and he needs an opportunity to showcase himself. He's a prospect and prospects sometimes need an injury to break out. He needs waivers now to be sent down. He should get the first shot at the top 6 lw spot if Mac is out.

He had a 58.6oZS% in NYR. 2^nd highest of his career. He even had PP time. He was given chances to be in the top 6. Callahan, Kreider and Nash missed time that yr.
