    Default Kucherov or Hanifin

I have a keeper pool, points only of 8 teams. 12F, 6D, 2G. The salary cap follows the NHL cap.

I need to chose which one I keep between Kucherov and Hanifin.

Hanifin is very cheap at 925k for the next 2 years, but I don't know what to expect from him in these 2 years.

Kucherov may not start the season on time and may not be a deal anymore, but have a lot of upside IMO.

    Who would you keep ?

In an 8 team pool where you follow the NHL cap, it really devalues bigh priced players. You also have 6D to 12F, which makes me lean more towards Hanifin. Would you be able to fit Kuch and say a $7.75 Mil salary under your cap?

I have room for Kuch, but if his salary is above 7M, his fantasy value would start to be low and it should be easy to draft him again in late rounds. At 6.5M, it's a really good deal.

For Hanifin, I am just not sure if we should see a progression this year or just in the future... A cheap D-Man doing 25 points is easy to find, but not at 35 points...

Keep Kuch.. I think Hanifin is 2 years away from any significant fantasy impact

    &
i don't think Kuch will get anything close to 7.75 aav
    more like 6.5

Kucherov and it's an easy decision for me.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Kucherov is the better player by far. Even though Hanifin might be cheap now he'll get a big raise soon, especially if he continues to develop well.

Kucherov easily if you can afford him. If not, I would make room just to keep him. The kid is a phenomenal talent

Agreed - IMO Kuch is so much better than Hanifin (for fantasy) you make room for salaries some other way. You don't just drop Kucherov.

Kuch for me as well. In the league in my sig I specifically left myself 9mil in cap space so I can accommodate whatever he gets. Keeping Kuch is worth rostering a couple 2-3mil players over 4-5mil players.
