How does bidding work? For Weber, do you have to bid more than $14 million?

    Ya, those are the salaries....
I would have to bid on top of that to secure some folks...

I'm going in with 20 mil, but would like to leave with 5-6m in my pocket for draft day

I know you are set for goalies, but Elliott might be a good bid and some good trade bait down the road. I like Brett Connolly for cheap. I'd go as high as $6 million for Marchand. He should have a high plus-minus plus around 60 points.

The high-priced guys are way too expensive if you have to add on top of their salaries.

Generally a solid list from Red, but I disagree on a couple names, of which I added bolded comments.

Yeah, I don't know that I spend on Elliot to be honest...problem is, if I save money, I don't win with my team lol

Based on what you'd pay for these guys I'm not sure the help you win either... I'd gun for guys close to the cap and build off their cast offs

No one mentioned Spezza because if you look hard enough you can get yourself 3 60 point guys for a total of the 7.5mil that Spezza makes to score 65.

You know your list is a little long when it has names like Datsyuk and Cowen...

I like Elliot; you have two goalie scrubs you can drop.

I was thinking that this was the entire list of interesting guys, and unspent cap room doesn't help. I can see your point, he's not a top value option, but he's not an albatross.
