Yeah, it's pretty similar to an IR spot all in all.

May be a silly question to follow up with, but why ARENT people keeping someone in the NA slot? Simply because they dont have someone who qualifies on their roster or they are looking to fill it with someone else?

No - you got it. Everybody should be using it.
    Eventually everybody will.
When I joined the league two seasons ago... I saw it as a very under-utilized option.

I kept Carter Hart in my NA slot the first year, until he was brought up.
I had Demko in there for a bit too. I think I eventually settled on Necas as my first NA keeper.

I carried Byram there for the entirety of last year, adding Seider with a week or two to go.
One of them will likely be NA this season, either way - both are future keepers.

Yup. I try to fill mine with someone that either has huge long term upside, or that I would be drafting before round 24 for their production in the next season.

The NA keeper is kept using the final draft pick owned by said team, so it may not always be worth it depending how early your final pick is and who your NA player is. For me, I am not keeping my NA guy because my final pick in the draft comes in Round 19 and my player was Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

As for posting keepers, please post them in the yahoo message board in the Keepers thread.

The round of trading has sparked my fantasy hockey interest again. Looking forward to the season a little more now
