So with the Rangers signing Pirri how do you see the lines unfolding for opening night? Any fantasy value with Pirri in deep multi-cat leagues? I own him in a 16 team 32 man roster dynasty league. Trying to decide if it's time to dump him.

Well he's behind a dense forward core, even the most recently signed Vesey. I wouldn't expect much, but it really depends on the replacement level available.

Signed to many guys... they need to trade to make room for. So no room for him. Dump.

I could dump him for Michael Mersch.

If that's your next best option then I would hold Pirri.

I already have Stepan, Kreider, Zibenjad and Miller. Pirri may never leave my bench unless it's one of those nights when only a few teams are playing. Sounds like he is going to be a 3rd-4th liner with no power play time and no value

I think he's alright as an inconsistent depth forward. Nothing special but it's not like you'd be replacing him with a star.

Asset management here... The replacement isn't worth the slot so I keep him until I can upgrade him either through someone else's drop or a 2 for 1 trade

I think it prudent to hold the cards to see if Jeff Gorton has something else brewing. After all Pirri is still just 25 with over 100 games played in the NHL scoring 22 goals in 49 games for the Panthers. If its me then I hold him and wait until training camp. All sorts of things can happen between now and then right ?

Clearly as Sulla said its an asset management issue
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
