I like Vesey because he's going to play in the top 6 in the NHL this season. Connor is probably another full year away from the NHL. He will then have to beat out some people for a top 6 role.
If no time line I prefer Connor.
personally I'm not on the Vesey hype train right now and I think GMs expecting an immediate return are going to get burnt next season
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Kyle Connor for me, and quite easily actually. He was the better player of the two this past season even though he's 4 years younger than Vesey. (I still can't believe they gave Vesey the Hobey Baker.) Vesey might give a little bit more immediate production since Connor might start in the AHL but Connor probably catches up to him by 2017-2018.
Take a close look at their career numbers from NCAA:
Vesey (age 19/20): 18 points in 27 games
Vesey (age 20/21): 22 points in 31 games
Vesey (age 21/22): 58 points in 37 games
Vesey (age 22/23): 46 points in 33 games
Connor (age 18/19): 71 points in 38 games
At Connor's age, Vesey wasn't even playing in NCAA yet. And Vesey never had as good a season as Connor had.
By the way, Vesey probably should have turned pro after his 3rd year because there was really nothing new for him to learn in NCAA anymore. That wasted year might eat away some of his upside.
Like others, I'd say Vesey this year and Connor more medium term. (Connor might also have a harder time cracking Winnipeg's top-6, whereas Vesey will sign somewhere where he is guaranteed a spot there).
The points thing is also a little deceiving. Look at Michigan's roster: JT Compher (63 pts), Tyler Motte (56 points), Zach Werenski (36 points). The only other player on Boston I've even heard of is Ryan Donato...
I like Connor from this group. He is definitely a sleeper for this coming season. Tons of speed and skill. I think he will a big part of WPG offense this year.

Connor
Keller
Vesey
Short term Vesey, but Connor is the real deal.
I heard that Keller is heading to school this coming season, so he is still a few years away, but I'd be tempted to rank him equal to, if not better, than Vesey.

If we're talking about real potential to fill the scoresheet then Vesey needs to be at the bottom of these rankings. Both Connor and Keller have far greater skills and pedigree. While Vesey may outpoint them for 1-3 seasons depending on how long Keller takes (I'm guessing one and done in the NCAA and perhaps a year in the AHL) the long term value that they'll bring will far exceed that of Vesey's.

I'd take Vesey for now and wait to see how Connor is used before trading up.. of course that is probably not possible in your league...I see Connor having an impact as soon as mid season
I had a tough time making the same decision about the two so I hedged my bets and acquired both Connor and Vesey just to be safe incase one of them is a bust.
