Awesome responses...he's relenting on Forsberg and a 1st and offered Malkin straight...is THAT ridiculous? If Malkin's healthy, its a good deal, no? I guess the big question is 'IF'..
isn't the guy that always goes second over hyped if there is the chance that the guy going first is a given and that you'd be crazy not to take him? Anything for analaysts to cause some debate/conversation

Guys, this negotiation has been a whirlwind... Thoughts on Eichel and a 5th for Backstrom and a 2nd? The second would be the 3rd overall in the second round of the redraft...
WORTH IT?
I'm entertaining it because I've got some good youth in Johnny Hockey and Kucherov (not to mention Tavares) and could potentially let Eichel go for the steady Backstrom? Or am I being silly...
Can you push it to a 1st?
I liked the first deal, and I like this one too.
I'd do it, but I'd push hard for a first. Or make him upgrade your 4th to a 3rd or something.
He's dead set against giving his 1st up (3rd overall in redraft) so I countered Eichel + 4th + 5th... for Backstrom + 2nd + 3rd
I like both deals TBH
