    Default Machado for Kershaw deal

I've offered Machado and Maeda for Kershaw and Nunez. He said he would think about it. Good chance this could get done.

    Thoughts on the value?

Downgrading 3B, upgrading pitching. It's a fair deal and you need pitching a little more. I like it.

The Bogaerts offer is solid too, but you need a 3B back. I like the Kershaw deal better.

Seager could go into my 3B slot. He's had a pretty solid season. The guy offering me the deal had Castellanos. But I doubt he wants to give him up. He and Seager are close anyways. Sano is a possibility but he hasn't shown me he can start.

As much as I like Bogaerts, I still run with Kershaw if I'm you. Though the Seager option for 3B does help. I had glanced over him.

Kershaw deal seems to be falling apart- guy is struggling to come to terms with it.

strategy wise, is the Salazar/Boegarts deal worth it for me? I'm sitting 8th out of 8 right now- hard to believe with my roster, I know. Do I stay out and hope for a turnaround, or is dealing Machado a good idea for the return.

    Machado (3B, SS) – 24yrs old
    Bogaerts – 23yrs old

I personally rather have the perennial all-star candidate in Machado (who’s style of being an offensive juggernaut is more sustainable than Bogs) than Bogs or Kershaw.

I’m no longer a fan of getting guys who make their fantasy dollars off stolen bases. You take away Bogaerts SB and he’s having a very close yr to Zobrist. Guys like Gomez and McCutchen made their dollars off being a 30HR-20SB guy, now they’re terrible. SB fall off out of nowhere. Trout had 82SB in his first two years, he barely has half that in his last 3. SB is too volatile for my liking.

You have Machado, Gold, Harper, Stanton, and Tulo. You don’t need to trade. If you want to trade, I’d look to move Tulo, shift Mach to SS, and Seager to 3B. Tulo for Greinke could be done. If you want some under the radar pitching, Glasnow is likely to stick in the rotation when the break is over.

I'm sitting 8 out of 8.. At what point do I need to make s move? My pitching is sketchy and my batting is overpowered with stars. Shouldn't I be trying to improve my pitching?

Machado/Uehera for Boegarts/Salazar feels like a good deal. Looking at the numbers, Boegarts Is not far off of Machado, and Salazar is having a great season. I can't trust Gray and Archer anymore. Something needs to be done and I'm willing to deal one of my big 4 for some help. Would you suggest offering Machado for a star pitcher straight across?

Some good points there. I'm coming around to this side of thinking. The big 4 batters are probably not your move, but you do need SP help. Try for some tier 2 guys and see where that takes you.

Guys in my league are pretty set in needing a great batter for quality SPs. I can try to move Tulo but I doubt I can get anything of real value with what his numbers look like right now (another thing my league seems to be stuck on). I still like the Machado for Bodgarts and Salazar deal as its only a minor downgrade at SS, and a large upgrade for my SPs. I can try for guys like Estrada and Greinke.. There's a guy in my league who has both. But he's iffy and thinks his SS Espinosa is great.

there are also some decent free agents: Tillman, Tomlin, Duffy, Bauer. Any of those worth adding?

Im in talks with acquiring Estrada.

Currently the offer stands at Tulo/Santana/Gomez for Estrada/Porcello/Abreu. Is this a no brainer? I countered with Tulo/Santana/Beltran/Gomez for Estrada/Greinke/Gordon (Alex), Just to see if he'd take it.

If i accept the original offer with Estrada and Porcello coming back, should i even consider the move to acquire Boegarts and Salazar for Machado? That would make my pithing staff look pretty healthy with Syndergaard/Estrada/Porcello/Salazar/Tanaka/Maeda/Terehan/Casilla/Hill/Archer... And i'd still have pretty damn good batting as well. Just replacing Machado with Boegarts
