I'd probably do that first first... that pick, though having value, will be a year or two away so let him have the wait time

In my opinion, just be happy with Eichel. It's fun to have a guy from your favourite team, but Eichel's the better player. My advice is to let him come into his own, and enjoy the show.

Someone posted an article yesterday (I believe it was Axe) that pointed out that since Puljujarvii is AHL-eligible, they may just let him play there.

I'd be going Eichel all the way here.

I had to add a late 1st rounder next year to Eichel to get Puljujarvi and Honka . I had three other higher 1sts . I'm not looking back , I gambled and will live with my decision .
PS . I've watching Puljujarvi highlights since last night ( especially the two WJC ) He'll be really, really good on his own (never mind with McDavid) . I'm feeling quite good about this .

I'm guessing the OGM is as excited as you. He just scored the highest rated 2nd overall pick since Seguin (some may say higher rated) PLUS another 1st round pick back for this years 4th overall. HONKA!!!

    LOL

Hope it works out for you.

I'm wanting Eichel and the 1st though. (Did you make sure you watched Eichel highlights Aswell?)

^ Exactly. This happens every single year. People get too swept up in the new hottness. Yes, the McDavid factor is huge, but Eichel is simply a stud.

It may work out as Pulj does look very good, I think you should've been able to extract a good bit more out of Eichels experience though.

this all day... Get your next season draft picks early amd extract full value closer to the date

p.s. I just traded Laine and Walman for Aho, N Ritchie, Bjorkstrand, Pickard, Demko and 9 (in a league where D scoring is weighted and goalies are like rocking horse s**t.

So you know how good a player is going to be, by just watching some highlight videos? You should work as an online scout, teams could save a lot of money.

Btw another vote for Eichel. It happens every year that people are crazy about the latest prospects and overvalue them. These people's memory usually doesn't last longer than a year.

I drafted and traded for so many future studs in my life, some were real and some were just Connolly, Niederreiter, Blum, Filatov, Yakupov or Hodgson.

That is also how i feel about it, and i am a huge Pulju fan, but to me it is not as close as a lot of you seem to think.

I've got Eichel ranked a fair deal ahead of Puljujarvi. I think JP is going to be a beastly two-way threat who can pop 30 and maybe hit the 70 mark one day. Eichel is the total package and can be a 90-95 pointer when Buffalo and their talent develops alongside him.
