Am I the only guy that thinks that Hall is incredibly overrated? He's talented physically but his hockey smarts and decisionmaking are not that great... and he doesn't seem that coachable. I think from a pure hockey standpoint, Edmonton is way ahead on this one... a top pairing D is harder to find (and more important to team success) than a star winger.

Gotta say as a devils fan holy cow!!

Crazy part was Larsson was supposed to be the next Scott Stevens to the devils when drafted. Or maybe neider. He was the future but for some reason be didn't get the respect from the coaches and couldn't quiet cut it. Still young and last season he made a nice step or two but he will never be super fantasy withy in jersey. In EDM damn he can run the PPP so who knows.

But wow lovng that we got hall for this. NJs defense is young and can observe the loss but the addition upfront look out. Thinkjng hall plays with Zacha. Should be a nice line.

As a huge Oilers fan, I like this trade.

Hall is a great player, but the Oilers have needed a culture change for years. THIS IS IT. Finally the bold move the fans have been waiting years for.

Larsson will be a stabilizing factor on defense.
