They're both going to command big bucks, so I'd still lean towards the rarity here: Karlsson.

    Karlsson for me as well.
Traded Seguin+ for Karlsson+ at the beginning of last year, and never had second thoughts about it.

the one caveat here for me is that you do seem weaker up front than you are on d... would probably want to use him to land several pieces than just go stud for stud

    its a keep 13, I'm keeping 5F 6D 2G

yes I know keeping 6D sounds crazy but as I said D are far harder to come by

    Giroux Schwartz larkin fabbri wenberg
Karlson Klingberg Vaatanen Ghost Parayko Lindell
    Alllen Helly

I will be going into the draft with 35M to spend on 10 guys and have 2 firsts. Plenty of F available to draft a decent forward lineup

6 d isn't crazy but those 6 are. I'd be keeping Bergeron and Voracek over Parayko and definitely Lindell. I'll concede that an argument could be made for Pararko.

I second this. D may be tough to get, but so is top tier talent. And top tier talent is less replaceable, especially in a deep league, than lower caliber D are.

Agree here as well... I might keep Parayko, but Lindell should probably not be drafted in the first few rounds of your draft anyway, so keep a sure thing forward instead.

And I'll add that in your format, the D to F ratio is quite skewed toward D (or in other word, D are more scarce, hence the reason why it's not crazy to keep a lot of Ds).

    Thanks for the replies

I dropped Voracek near the end of the year when he was injured. Yes, dropped, $10m this year, no way no how is he even close to worth that in a 23 man, 12 team, $73M salary cap league. There were plenty of forwards in our pool who had far more pool points than Jake last year at well below 50% of his current $10M salary. I owned a few who I'm not keeping including R Smith and Jokinen and there will be plenty more this year. Allocating $10M for Voracek would hinder any team in a salary cap league.

I'm of the opinion there are very few if any $10M players that are worth it in a 23 man $73M Cap league

Bergeron I have debated at $8.75 vs Lindell as my final keeper. I just would rather have the $8M to play with at the draft.

I agree Lindell should not be kept. Coulda said the same last year about keeping ghost. pretty sure that worked out just fine

    Thanks again for the opinions

And WRT to Paryko hes an absolute stud in salary cap league this year, no question even if he regresses a little, but if shatty is traded watch out

Guys like him help u win Salary cap leagues

I'm pretty sure I could get a mid first for him. So lets say I do, I would be very happy to re draft him in that spot, 100% keeper. I'm going for the win again this year

I'd recommend not keeping 6 defensemen, and keeping Elliot instead of Lindell. You cover yourself better if Helly is in the AHL, and finding a #6 defenseman should be easy. I am unsure of the cap implications, but would think it's not too bad.

I would keep Karlsson over getting Seguin, but it';s dang close with blueline you have.

Karlson for sure - regardless of what your forward core looks like.
