Nope, I don't think either of them are reliable. GMs aren't going to tell the media the full truths at the best of times, let alone around one of the busier times of the year for wheeling and dealing.

With Dupuis moved to long term IR (he's basically done) then yes they could as they'd be around 2.4 million under.

as others have said though I think the Hawks would want more back for Kane and that's where it gets sticky (otherwise it was easy lol)
