Not too many surprises there other than Cirelli. Three years ago he was one of the worst players on the Bill Crother's high school hockey team that my brother played on. A couple of lucky breaks later and he's drafted pretty early. Either he has gotten astronomically better or he is going to come crashing back down soon.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Having been with the Generals last season I did see a vastly improved player from the things I had heard about his rookie campaign. Obviously he's not an offensive dynamo, but he did make the players around him better and was key in the Gens making the playoffs in a rebuild year.
I don't imagine him making Team Canada, but he could be a safe bet as a 4th line player or as the extra forward.

i can't wait to see how they screw it up.
word is barzal could make the isles next season, but if not i think he could end up being canada's go to guy.
Biggest surprise to me is no returning goalie. All are draft eligible this year. Yikes!

Surprised Evan Fitzpatrick did not get an invite. A lot more 19 year olds on the roster this time around which should help them have a better tournament and build off last year's learning curve.
