    No mention of Nichushkin.
    I think he's the ultimate buy-low.

Really, this year was like a rookie year after last year's injury.
He's still young and that team runs and guns. All he needs is to click with the big guns -- and the team still has high hopes methinks.

The consensus on these forums is that he's a bust. Not completely but he's not going to reach the level of stardom that was originally projected for him. As you can see I own him and I'm still a believer in his potential. But my patience is wearing thin. Coaching is a big problem for Val. Ruff insists on messing with the lines constantly. I'm not saying he's a bad coach but it might take a change of scenery for Nichushkin to have his breakout

Nichushkin is a good one. There's a few rumours he wants out of Dallas because of his low ice time so he could be a nice bounceback somewhere else. He's also being held back by injury. I don't think we can truly say what Nichushkin is yet.

Fabbri is a legit star and with Backes and Brouwer both likely to depart look for 60 from Fabbri if he's healthy and plays 80 games, but health WILL be a concern

I think people are getting tired of waiting for him to break out and have moved on.

It's like waiting for the Jack in the box to spring out after cranking the crap out of the handle for ages and ages.

FWIW, I've never been one to buy into the hype on the kid. I've just not seen it to expect much more than we're seeing. I think he can be a decent 50 pt guy but for those waiting on 70+ pts like many expected, I think you might as well keep cranking the handle on the Jack in the box.

    I dunno.
He's basically rebooting after his second rookie year.
And although his points were unbelievably disappointing this year, his shooting % was abysmal.

    I still have faith.

I agree - Maroon was my choice as well. With a full season playing with McDavid, I can easily see 50-55 points next season.

I really have to disagree >.<

It's not that I don't think Maroon couldn't do that with a full season with McDavid; it's just that because of the offseason trades/moves that are very likely to happen this year, I wouldn't bet on any line combo being a given next season. It's going to be another experimentation phase to see who has chemistry, and who knows how long that will take.

For that reason I would avoid putting stock into any "non-star" Oiler breakout next season. That means Maroon, Pouliot, Klefbom, etc. If you take a flier on any of these players I hope it's with your last pick.

    Agree

Last time I saw someone that really stood out to me from an opposing team that I was watching was Tarasenko. (not to say he is going to do those things)
