Nah, I don't see it. I think they went after CJ as insurance for Ajayi. That knee of his could go tomorrow or in ten years. No one really knows. But he's a far more talent back than Miller is/was. Don't sleep on Dam. Williams either.

Doubt they spend a 1st round pick on Henry (even though I would). Zeke likely won't be available at #13 so the Dolphins would need to move up. But I can't see them doing that when they have other holes to fill and they spent last season teaching the offense to their rookie, who showed enough to allow the Fish to allow a talent like Lamar Miller walk. Dolphins view Ajayi as a 3-down back, though he may need 1 more season to reach that potential (or he could hit it this year).

Trying to recapture days of Hernandez gone by?? Tuff fantasy value to get around. How many targets is he going to get over Gronk Dion Lewis Edeleman Hogan. Lewis always gets hurt so..., and he and Hogan will prob fight for targets.

Is Bennett a blocker? I think he is right? Brady needs help in that area.

Considering what the Patriots were able to get out of Scott Chandler, this is a nice upgrade. A bit expensive but comes with the upside that they did a pick swap to get the deal so they didn't have to dip into free agency for a Bennett type and thus cost themselves a shot at compensatory picks next year.

Yeah I like it for the Pats/Brady (as much as I can like anything for the Pats/Brady). Regardless of Bennett's fantasy value, he'll provide a reliable target for Brady that is not of the Edelman/Lewis/Amendola/White mould. Brady needed a reliable big bodied alternative to Gronk last season and now he has it in Bennett. Hogan too, perhaps.

I think Amendola days are numbered here.

They will go about 2 TE sets, and terrorize the middle of opponents all over again just like Gronk+Hern days. Also, he’s an insurance policy if Gronk is hurt, even tho Bennett missed games last yr, prior to that he missed 4 games in 7 seasons. Pretty solid.

If he wants to be successful and win a SB, he just has to keep quiet and do what he’s told. In 2011, Hernandez’s best yr with a healthy Gronk; look at who the top 3 receivers for the Pats were:
Welker – 1569yrds – 9TDS
Gronk – 1327yrds – 17TDs
Hern – 910yrds – 7TDS

And you thought Gronk was big, Gronk is 6’6” 265lbs, and Bennett is 6’6” 273lbs.

Stupid Patriots go low risk high reward all over again. Rich get richer.

You must only be thinking in terms of fantasy value then. It's a great football move for the Pats. Just doesn't help anyone except Brady's fantasy value.

lol...everyone keeps saying that, but it hasn't happened. Murray has both qualities ya can't teach - size and speed. Word out from Raiders camp is he's been working hard on the metal side of the position. Is there risk? Sure. But if he is able to grasp the blitz pick-ups etc he'll be a very dynamic back on a team on the rise (on both sides of the ball).
