Is there any chance that it's a 50/50 split for the rest of the yr? What do you expect from Reimer in SJS

I wont be surprised if Reimer is flipped right away. That's how Jones landed in SJ, they snatched him from Boston right after LA traded him there.

If Reimer isnt moved I expect he will get a decent amount of starts. Jones has probably been overused a bit due to Stalock being unfit for NHL-level competition.

There were times that San Jose was scared of using Stalock cause he was so bad... That being said Reimer will get some starts but I'd give the benefit of the doubt to Jones. Unless Jones got injured or he starts to severely underpreform then maybe Reimer will string some starts together.

I really don't think they'll flip Reimer. Stalock sucked and they want stability in hopes of making a long run in the playoffs. Such a damn shame they have to deal with either Anaheim or LA to start.

Doubtful. Jones has been more consistent as of late and SJ is pushing for for the playoffs. I see 70/30 split in favour of Jones.

Martin Jones is having a good year but I wouldn't at all be surprised if Reimer stole the starting job. He was great up until the midway point of the season playing on a terrible Leafs team. Soon as the trade was announced I snagged Reimer off free agency and dropped Steve Mason. Reimer will be my third goalie though.

Reimer will get some starts but I can't see them turning away from Jones as their main guy.

This^. Jones has been playing well over the last month. This trade is about Stalock, not Jones.

60-40 Jones, but Reimer will for sure dip into starts.

He has his moments. Unfortunately he doesn't seem able to sustain them.

A change of scenery could do him some good. I don't think he can be written off, at least not yet.

Thanks guys, I have Reimer and a trade offer to acquire Halak and was just curious what peoples take was on the situation. I think I’ll wait and see if Reimer plays tonight to make a decision. He seems to be having some Visa issues right now, so if he doesn’t get that for today he’ll be meeting the team in Vancouver most likely on Thursday.

No this is Jones' team. Reimer was brought in to be a better slot in when Jones needs a rest or in the event of an injury. The Sharks moved Stalock because they have no confidence in him going forward especially in the playoffs if something were to happen to Jones.

He did a nice job with what he had to work with on Toronto and endeared himself to the fans with his efforts but he's numbers are always below league average. I agree with the rest of the sentiment on the boards...it's Jones' job to lose.
