i am sorry to be on a slow side, but can you please explain to me what this tool does?
As far as I understand it ranks skaters based on whatever categories you have in your roto league. Is this correct?

But what is taken into account? Does it help you with figuring out what position is more scarce in your league?
Are all positions are per dobber\'s guide? or you can make sure that positions of players are reflected from yahoo or cbs or espn?

just wanted to know more about what seems to be a great tool.

Goon, no worries. What the tool does is this:
- Determine what the average value is for each stat category for each position based on your league parameters (positions, number of GMs)... basically set \"the bar\" by determining the average replacement player at each position.
- Rank each player against their positions\' \"bar\" in each stat category, using standard scores.
- Output the ranks to a list.

It doesn\'t actually determine which positions are scarce, but what it does do is ask the question \"How does this player compare to an average replacement at this position?\" So, if for whatever reason, your league dressed 10C, 2LW, and 2RW you would find that top-end wingers became less valuable than top-end centres because the average replacement winger would still be pretty good, while the average replacement centre would be pretty mediocre.

Right now the sheet uses the positions in Dobber\'s guide. Interestingly enough, the bar for both LW and RW is very similar... so it\'s probably fine to swap winger positions without compromising the results. I know I show Heatley as a LW but in a lot of leagues he\'s a RW... shouldn\'t be a problem to just move him over. But C is quite different from the wingers, so that wouldn\'t jive. It\'s actually a pain to switch a players\' position in my tool because of the way its built. I guess I could spend a day fixing it to be easier (and I might, you never know) but I don\'t have the apetite for it right now.
