I guess not really a huge deal in the short-term as Jets look more like sellers than buyers at this point, but damn, what a loss. Hope he's able to recover and get back to form.

You know, for all the attention that Ladd, Byfuglien, Wheeler, Trouba, and Ehlers get, Little is IMO the unsung hero that holds this team together if I can be honest. He's been there since the beginning and he's been a solid #1 C

He was a great fantasy player for me this yr too.
Averaged per game this yr:
0.3G, 0.44A, 0.74Pts, 0.21PPP, 0.21PIMs, 11.82FW from a RW eligible guy too!
25G, 36A, 61Pts, 17PPP, 17PIMs, 969FW over 82 games.

He was 8^th or 9^th in FW this yr I think.

Always a personal favourite, I definitely agree he is an unsung hero on the Jets. Great guy on and off the ice, been following him since his minor hockey days. Hope he has a good recovery for next season!

Really hope Little is able to make a quick recovery. Huge blow for the Jets however but could have a significant impact on them being able to have the best odds for a top 3 lottery pick.

So this fracture is essentially your back bending so hard that the Vertebrae around the fracture one push down on it crushing the bone. Wow that was a hard it then.

Little was out on the ice in a non-contact jersey today. I'm a little surprised that he's on the ice so soon. Good sign!

Little's taking a bit of contact in practice now. Sounds like he may play a bit this season yet. Great to hear that it's healing so well/quickly. It's only been 6 weeks!

To me, it seems unneccessary to play an NHL game at this point of the season. How is it worth any risk?

Well, if he plays, there's no risk. He'll be 100%. Frankly, he shouldn't play. The games mean nothing beyond getting some looks at a few kids in the system, and trying some things out for next season. They want to lose games, but play well doing it, and Little obviously won't help them lose games.

I'm just glad he's okay, and will be good to go next season and beyond. It was a scary incident.

Medically sure. But medically 100% and game ready 100% (not just fitness, but mentally, speed of game, etc.) are different.
