Default Any rumors on either Mason or Neuvirth being on the block?

In a 16 team dynasty league, I have a Neuvirth owner inquiring about Mason and I am curious about the trade deadline since this could potentially drive Mason's value upward especially if Neuvirth is traded to a team as a backup.

I believe it was Elliott Friedman who said just yesterday that he was trying to get something out of Ron Hextall and he is tight-lipped about possible trades. Right now, there isn't much for Flyer rumors out there because of this.

That being said, I have a hard time seeing the Flyers move a goalie, mainly because I am not sure there are many contending teams on the hunt for one right now. Even if they were, there are plenty available so there are lots of options. If anyone were to get dealt, I'd have to assume it would be Neuvirth though.

Neuvirth would make sense for the Sharks as an upgrade over Stalock, but teams might be worried that both times Neuvirth has been dealt during the season he didn't exactly do well on his new squad.

well both Mason and Neuvirth are UFA after 16-17 season

The Flyers only have about 10 megabucks to work with going into next season with Schenn needing a new contract.

Streit is a good call, but how about Umberger, Gagner or Raffl ?

Although Philly has capped out at 3 retained salaries, 2 of them expire after the end of this season, so perhaps that is a better opportunity to part with Umberger going into his walk year. Granted he has a movement clause in his contract, but perhaps he would be willing to go somewhere that will give him a shot at top 6 ice time ?
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
