Trading for Tarasenko

I'm trying to get Tarasenko from a guy. Offered him Okposo and Brendan Gallagher, but not sure that is going to be enough. What would a fair offer be?

It would be Okposo+Schwartz is what I’d want for Tarasenko. Okposo + Hube/Pietrangelo might do it.

Well, that's kind of why I made the post. And said "not sure that is going to be enough". And asked what a fair offer would be.

If the other owner holds Tarasenko in high regard as a future ppg superstar then you will probably need to over pay and give up at least another young potential 1st line star as well + other throw in. It all depends on how knowledgeable the other guy is. You want one of his best young forwards, he might ask you for the same coming back and no Okposo and Gallagher don't count.

Honestly, I took over this team midseason, and I hadn't played fantasy hockey in about 10 years prior to the takeover. My logic in the offer was this. In our league, Tarasenko averages 2.2 points per game. Okposo and Gallagher both average 1.9. So I'd be getting the better guy, but he would get an upgrade over his guys on the roster averaging 1.4-1.5 points.
But like I said, it seemed like I would need to give a better offer, so I asked here, since I'm new.

See if he's willing to trade for Eberle + throw in, and sell him on the fact that Eberle is playing with boy wonder now. Might be worth a try. If the price is too steep, then it's probably not economical to go after Tarasenko. If you're not too worried about keepers and have a good shot at winning this year, it might be better strategically to go after lower hanging fruit that doesn't come with a big brand name to give you similar results.
