Who are my 10 keepers?

Who would you say are my 10 keepers? There are some obvious ones, but i'm feeling lost on where to peg T. Johnson, Palat, Toffoli, Andersen, and Hellebuyck.

That's a tough call.
I really dislike rostering wingers that don't hit... so for me, I'm actually not keeping Toffoli - even though he'd be a popular choice for scoring.
I love Komarov's hits... and he does have some scoring this year. But I expect Toronto to sign Stamkos... possibly E.Staal... and that'll really bite into his minutes, especially PPTOI.
But my favourite here is Palat, who will give some scoring AND hit... and is a PLUS type player.
He's my pick for #10.

Man there is a lot of these keeper posts, and I am a sucker for them. I love choosing keepers haha

I think these 7 are the obvious ones, like you mentioned. Then it does definitely get harder.
I would love to keep a 2nd goalie but your other two are kind of scary, either one could be a total home run or a part timer. I quite like Hellebuyck as Pavelec is a UFA after next year and I think it is obvious that Hell is ready for the big show and got come valuable experience so I think you take a risk and keep him and draft a third goalie early just in case.

After the goalies that leaves 2 spots that really come down to Johnson, Palat, Toffoli and just based on instinct I am going Toffoli for sure.

The last spot comes to 2 Tampa boys and its tough. I think that Johnson has the higher upside with Stamkos maybe/probably on the way out and he has the dual eligibility. So I am going with him.

I agree with Dingy's list but would pick Palat over Toffoli because I think TBL is more offensively charged than LAK - although I think Toffoli is the slightly better player with nice +/- and a goalscorer's touch. Honestly while typing this I sway; Palat vs Toffoli. Either one of them will probably be a good pick..

T.Johnson (when he's on/healthy, he could be a top 10 scorer)
Toffoli (kid's just scratching the surface, and he's going to finish with his 3rd consecutive plus-20 season)
Komarov (3rd in hits, outside of PiM, similar #'s to Backes)

This was tough. Hard to leave off Backes (depreciating asset) and I might be the biggest Palat supporter on these boards, but not everyone can make the cut. Palat will likely be available to redraft because he seems to be down on most people's draft lists.

Like everyone else I think you have some "for sures" I think the first 8 are your for sures.

I think in a league that counts hits then Backes is a solid option as he also has some talent.
I also picked Toffoli because he gives you the points. Hits is one category. Toffoli will get you a bunch of the others - I actually have him JUST outside the "for sures"

The guys I wouldn't pick...

Komorov - I watch the leafs. I love him as a player but he's more of a real life grinder and I think his points at the beginning of this year was more a product of having no one else to play the prime minutes. He will be a 3rd line grinder for future years.

Palat - He is more of the defensive guy on that top line. He may get some hits, and some points but not enough to warrant a keep.

Helleybuck - If you could keep him on a farm do it. But i wouldn't use him in a keeper spot. The fact that he went back to the AHL just shows that he will have at least another year until he's a full time starter and even then the Jets may not be too good.
