    Default Shutouts..quick rant.

I played Eliot and lundy tonight and they both blew their shutouts in the last min.
I lead my league in gaa and sv% by a mile and I'm in dead last for shutouts. So frustrating.
I hate the shutout category this year.

For the first time ever I'm kind of dominating in shutouts. Even Hiller is contributing to that and Crawford has been a beast, he barely had any in the past.

If it makes you feel better, I played both Mrazek and Rask today and I pretty much dropped 3 spots in GAA and SVP.....

Shutouts is near the bottom of my lists of fantasy hockey categories I like.
Fortunately, most of my leagues don't count it.
In weighted points, I'm OK with a bonus for a shutout.

But things like SV% and GAA, it's already capturing the benefit of not giving up a goal against.

Yahoo! weights SO as part of their overall goalie score, so it pegs:
    144. Kuemper, Darcy. 5w, 2.28gaa, .918sv%, 2so
    155. Markstrom, Jacob. 9w, 2.30gaa, .925sv%, 0so

I don't know... I think Markstrom should be more valuable in fantasy hockey leagues.
But shutouts being a low-quantity stat have a lot of weight just for one.

In a real hockey lockerroom, if a goalie plays great and wins the game... that's all that matters.
Late goal-against when winning 3-0... meh, nobody in the real hockey lockerroom cares... maybe a young goalie, but not a veteran goalie.
    Win is a win.
[Even Petr Mrazek can smile after getting a win yesterday.]
