The Wild goalie has a mild groin strain.

"We'll definitely keep him out for tomorrow (Dec 7) and we'll see how he's feeling when we get back," Yeo said.

This is a three-game road trip, but the Wild returns from Denver after Monday's game. It will practice in Minnesota on Tuesday, take Wednesday off and practice in Arizona on Thursday. So there's a chance Dubnyk goes on the Arizona-San Jose back-to-back and starts one of the games, Yeo said.

"Next weekend is a possibility," Yeo said. "Where we're at in the season, we won't put him in the net if he's at risk of hurting himself and being out longer. Probably pretty good timing with the week that we have right now. We'll see if Duby is ready for practice when we get back [from Colorado]."

Yeo said Dubnyk won't travel w/ #mnwild this weekend. After getting on ice this morning, he just didn't feel right & no reason to rush back.

Perfect timing as the injury will allow Dubnyk to spend extra time with his new son, Parker, who was born Wednesday.

Updating an earlier item, Devan Dubnyk will be back in uniform on Tuesday night.
He will serve as Darcy Kuemper's backup when the Wild host the Vancouver Canucks. Dubnyk has recovered from his groin injury, but Kuemper is being rewarded for his 25-save shutout versus San Jose last Saturday.
