It's not trolling to answer the question "Why is Toronto always a default destination?" Being a Leafs fan, I thought it was fair to answer that question.
The Sens came up as an example because, in contrast to the Leafs (Bruins, Rangers, Habs, etc), they aren't a coveted franchise to play for or coach. They are basically, to steal a Gretzky line... a Mickey Mouse organization.

If reports are correct, he could be riding shotgun alongside Johnansen and Neal in a playoff run.
He would've gotten max money anywhere.
And Nashville is supposed to be a heck of a city.

Plus, even though he has every right to use his upcoming UFA status, it sounds like he wasn't completely upfront with Nashville's leadership.
They were pretty vocal at the deadline that he was the piece they'd be adding.
He's adding all kinds of pressure to himself wherever he goes.

Neither Boston or Toronto are in great shape right now IMO.

One thing I didn't care for there is the suggestion that Nashville lacks loyalty to their players, example trading Jones recently, like an NHL team should be a mafia family or some crap. Remember Jimmy, the Bruins have recently traded Hamilton and Seguin while slighting their character as justification and loyalty is not an issue in considering them?

Sounds like he is impressively skilled which is why Nashville feels so burned, and that he's always wanted to play for the B's, fair enough. Shouldn't be made into much more than that. Plus his dad working for TO seems to take less weight since he still operates out of Boston.

From what I read it was all about graduating from Harvard. More of a long term Vision - maybe he is learning about how to invest all that money he is going to make so he doesn't end up bankrupt like Suter. Lots of ex NHL guys in the junior mining exploration companies.
