Just thinking... if CBJ did move Ry-Jo for a top 4D man... it might create the opportunity for Boone Jenner to shift to center.
He was a center in the OHL, regarded as one of the top face-off men.

I'm actually a little surprised that CBJ went with Foligno to patch Dubinsky's C2 rather than Jenner.
If RyJo gets dealt, which I don't believe he will, it won't be because Torts apparently doesn't like him. It'll be for some other underlying issue that we'll find out about after the deal. If it's because of Torts, CBJ needs to get their heads checked. (But everyone here knew this.)

My guess is it'll stem back to the contract talks awhile back.
If he moves, it's because he wants out of Ohio. Just my two cents.

Columbus needs to be careful here. They have accumulated a history of
a) missing (badly) on high draft-picks, and
b) trading away their stud players.
I can't help but think that this has to have a cumulative corrosive effect on the morale of their fan-base.
RETIRED
1. They are an internal budget team. If they get an offer they like today, they’ll take it. The Double in salary might be enough for them to say, “ok, we got a good package back, and we saved on his salary”
2. He has a bit higher trade value (when excluding stats) because of his contract for other teams. He’s a 4mill cap hit and for a C1, that’s really good. Even better, he’s a 4mill cap hit for this yr AND next. This could end up like a Yandle move, where the team gets him in an un-hockey like deadline move. By that I mean the guy wont be a FA come that seasons end.
3. Depends how they want to go about this trade for what they’ll get. They could get NHL ready players that haven’t reached their potential (Seth Jones). They could go a 1for1 (main pieces) trade for someone (Byfuglien), or they could go for a slew of prospects and picks

do you actually think there is a single team in the NHL that would think not to acquire Weber because of his contract?
Nashville has the 2nd most cap space in the league, so you already know they value cap space more than most teams, and they still signed Weber to that contract. The blue jackets are a top 10 team in terms of spending this year, so I really don't think they have an issue acquiring Weber because of his contract.
Really though? I'm not trying to disagree with you I just don't recall the evidence that they've been poorly managed. Filatov is the first to come to mind but in IMO he doesn't count because that wasn't a miss on management, that was a miss on the player. Everyone expected him to be a star, just search his name in these forums. Same could be said for Murray, great player but hindsight is always 20/20 and I'm not sure they'd take him again if given the chance to redraft. Everyone had him pegged as a star too and he still has ample time. They have a really impressive prospect group so I don't see how you can say they miss badly on draft picks.
As far as trading goes, have they really been bad? Obviously the Voracek/Carter trades were an utter disaster, but that's one example and far from the most egregious in recent memory. I think the Saad deal was a solid hockey trade. I can't think of any other blockbusters they've been a part of.
I don't know, I think CBJ has done some stellar drafting in the last half decade and I've also been really impressed with the work the new GM has done. In my mind they have nothing to be careful of, they seem to be doing pretty well considering the circumstances of being one of the least desirable teams to play for. When you can't attract FAs you have to be big players on the trade market-- it's just the way you have to build your team.
If he is on the block 29 other teams should be lining up. Torts should buy and run a junior team where he can have complete control.

Nash to NYR
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=638412
Nash was traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the New York Rangers for three players and a first-round draft pick. The All-Star, who first went to Columbus management in January and asked to be dealt, heads to Manhattan in exchange for forwards Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov along with defenseman Tim Erixon and a first-round draft pick in 2013.
