    Does anyone know how often a player scores on a penalty shot? Like does someone usually score on 1 in every three penalty shots or something

    I don't know any of the numbers, but in the shootout, guys who score 30% of the time are considered pretty darn good. I assume penalty shot numbers would be similar.
