As per Adrian Dater...might not be the greatest source but he's been right a few times, and i suppose it makes sense given how bad the Avs are. Don't see them firing Roy either.
Duchene, Varlamov and Iggy seem like the trade candidates. Iggy seems like the most logical to move but he has a NMC. Goalie market sucks ass so it's always hard to trade a goalie, especially an expensive one that isn't performing well.
But Duchene...almost every team would love to have him. What would you give up?

I've stopped using Dater as a reference since he started working for Bleacher Report. I just don't trust his sources nearly as well as they used to be when he worked for the Denver Post. I am not saying he isn't right here, but I trust his opinion less than I used to.

I think he's fine as a source. Just not a person who can handle criticism. I had to unfollow him on twitter because of his all too frequent meltdowns. Also made me question how I deal with criticism, myself.

FWIW, he's travelling with the team this week, so in this case I would assume his sources are the same ones he had when with the Denver Post. He also said the results of this upcoming 7 game road trip would do a lot to determine what course of direction the Avs took.

Colorado isn't getting any secondary scoring whatsoever. Out of their top 7 point scorers, 3 are defensemen (Beauchemin, Barrie, Johnson).
Added to that, these defensemen are scoring at an unsustainable pace: Beauchemin is in pace for 52 points (high over the past 5 years is 23 pts) and Barrie is on pace for a career high 57 pts.

Not a chance I'd trade Beaulieu for Iginla. For Duchense maybe....
I'd like to see Eller and Tinordi or anyone of the youngens...like Hudon. for Duchesne
Duchense would excel playing with Galchenyuk.
