We\'re mulling over the idea of switching our keeper league from yahoo to ESPN since ESPN offers free stat-tracker and allows for rosters > than 30 players.

Anybody else done this? How did it go? Any speedbumps?

My league considered moving as well but didnt because of 2 reasons

    1) Position eligibility cannot be changed and they dont allow dual eligibility. This might not be bad if you are starting fresh but when people may have drafted certain players because of this factor its just not fair
    2) they dont have PPP as a cat... instead they break it by PPG and PPA

Actually, the FAQ says that the PRIMARY positions are locked in. It doesn\'t rule out additional position eligibility with that wording.

yeah I dont know why they wouldnt allow something as simple as choosing either PPG, PPA, or both PPP, if you have the first 2 you automatically have the latter, stupid.

Narayan, I just noticed your roster, gotta say I like your team, how\'d you do last year?

I\'ve checked out their players on the site and NO ONE has dual eligibility...

Not now, no, but no one has dual eligibility on Yahoo either when you register.

Again, the wording doesn\'t rule out additional position eligibility being added during the season, which is when dual eligibility is usually established because of the players actually playing.

Im not sold on that... When I drafted on yahoo last year players had dual eligibility, such as Malkin, Naslund etc.

I believe ESPN is just like CBS sports in which each player has one positon only BUT in CBS you are able to change or add dual to a player. ESPN? Not so much...

I\'m still waiting for HITS to be a category.

I just don\'t like PIMs as a cat.. considering a penalty is supposed to hurt your team. It would be like having Goalie losses a cat.

That depends on when you draft, I guess. When we set up the rosters for our league last year almost immediately after registration opened, no players had dual eligibility. But it was added as time went by.

But I guess this discussion is moot. Do you know if the ESPN fantasy admins can be contacted somehow? I\'ll check for an email address or something.

EPSN has Hits as a category this year. Blocked shots too, if you\'re interested in that.

My keeper league is set up there right now. We\'re waiting for the last guys to register so that we can add all the rosters. We normally play on Yahoo, but we\'ll be starting the season on ESPN simultaneously to judge which one is better. So far it seems like a solid interface/system. I\'m going to try to find information about additional position eligibility.

But to answer your question: No, I haven\'t actually used it during a running season yet.
