I am in negotiations with a manager to deal Mcdavid. I did say i wanted points and he is one of the top teams. I want to do a 3 for 3 player deal.

Also, if you insist on dealing this generational talent, don't you think you should wait until later in the year when his value is higher (closer return from injury). Furthermore, why would the guy in 1st sacrifice a lot of healthy players for a guy who is JUST injured for a significant amount of time? Surely, you should speak to the teams who have no chance at winning?

I don't know, it seems you're being impatient and making a rash decision without thinking it through properly.

Even if I do McDavid, Kovalchuk, Talbot for Gaudreau, Forsberg, Barkov? It would make me jump in the standings and I really like all three of those guys but Ill wait for a bit. Until the end of the day at least and see what the other managers will offer.

There is a chance I dont move him but honestly that is about a 20% chance I believe. With this manager there is only one trade combo that I am really interested in. The Ryjo, Gaudreau, Forsberg trio. I still am thinking everything out and wont send an offer right away. There is other managers who may put together a bigger package.

I know McDavid has tremendous value, but I would take RyJo + Gaudreau + Forsberg for him, you get 2 60-70 pt guys and a 70-80 point guy for a player that MAY hit 100+?
That is only a 20 pt downgrade on the best asset coming back, and you gain two top line young wingers for him.

Although if it were me....I would push to get Hedman included in the deal too and you would have to add a piece on your end then.

That is what I was thinking. It would give my team much needed proven depth.

MacKinnon, Drouin, Gaudreau, Forsberg, RyJo, Duchene, Strome, Nylander, Pastrnak, Reinhart, Lindholm going forward I like

On top of that I would have veterns like Koivu, Hossa, Lupul and a good goalie in Corey Crawford.

Im going to wait until this afternoon sometime before offering it. I like the deal honestly, I just want to think it over just in case. Plus to see if the other managers show any interest. I just hope they understand its going to be a BIG price for McDavid
