Dobber hockey league - draft date, rules, format?

My invitation to your league to allow me to play has been denied for two years. Obviously I have to believe the reason is your feel your league is not qualified. Take the ten years you will to get good enough before I can be allowed to compete against you.

I don\'t really understand what the issue with coldsquid is... I mean it seems pretty simple to me... if you want to be in one of the dobber leagues, you just need to post often with insightful views regarding fantsy (and real) hockey.

Seems pretty simple to me...

That\'s like someone telling you that you have to go to 10 meetings to become a member of some elite club and you decide that you only want to go to 1... but then afterwards, you say that you\'re better than everyone else and that you should be a member.

What\'s funny is I am usually the quietest in my hockey leagues and rarely say a word in terms of trash talk. I know better. I just figured I\'d follow up one set of totally unsubstantiated trash talk from coldsquad with some of my own.

Truth be told I\'ll be happy ust not being relegated at the end ofthe year!

The bottom line is...

A) I believe this site is the best fantasy hockey site going.

B) I would really enjoy the competition in this fantasy pool.

C) I was disappointed to be unable to enter the fantasy pool last year.

D) I was under the believe that last year it was stated that anyone who wanted to enter the pool would be allowed to this year.

E) Now that is also not going to happen.

F) As much as I like this site and have been a member for a long time, I feel it is being elitist to only allow certain people to participate in the fantasy pool.

G) I also have to believe that not allowing certain people to particpate is because that would make it unlikely that the current members would win.

What happened last year is:

Pool A was invite for the Dobber Experts (mostly local writers etc)

Pool B was based on active members including post count. Not ideal but it worked at the time.

Pool C was a random lottery that EVERYONE was eligible for.

Bottom 2? in Pool A dropped down, top 2 in Pool B moved up (Repent and I) etc

I am not sure how the new Pool C is working, I can;t remember the details, but I thought it was a random lottery again, which would mean that ANYONE is again eligible. I could be wrong though.

Five things to mention

1) Dobber hockey is my most reliable and favorite site for fantasy hockey.

2) But it is a really poor way to operate a site when the chances of being included in the fantasy pool for members and others are very remote at best.

3) In order to participate in a hockey pool you need to use a different site.

4) It doesn\'t make that person feel like a part of Dobber hockey.

5) I can\'t believe it would be too difficult to include everyone in a Dobber hockey fantasy keeper pool that wants to join. Then their would be no complaints

6) I can join several thousand other pools on different sites easily. The reason I complain so much about this is quite simply this would be my favourite pool to join.

I\'m not going to continue on with this too much, kudos to you for your opinions.

But this point I\'d have to disagree with. To include every single person in a keeper pool would be pretty much impossible. The current format at least allows everyone the opportunity to be involved.
