I have Vasilevskiy and I'm huge on him. With Bishop's expiring contract next year, Vasilevskiy's pedigree etc, I love the guy and his potential. Another manager really wants him. I've gotten him to offer Galch+Draisaitl. Draisaitl would replace Vas as a prospect (up to 82 games as a player, 41 as a goalie, then promote the following year). Am I crazy not to take this or should I hold onto the potential elite goalie?

Another manager is offering Chucky + Draisaitl for Vasilevsky? I would accept. With Bishop he is a great goalie and even if he doesn't re sign in TB then he will get a #1 job somewhere else. Maybe Calgary I don't know but he will succeed somewhere. I like that trade

It all depends: are you in win now mode ? Does Chucky become 1 of your keepers ?
Your other goalies are not getting younger, but I guess you still have 2-3 years before you need a replacement. So you still have time to find another gem in net.

id say your solid enough in goal to make that deal. Vas has a lot of potential as a tender but as always with goalies(prospects) nothing is a sure thing , hello Jacob Markstrom!

Agree with this, I'd take the deal and run. Lundy/Dubynk/Rask is a very solid trio of goaltending for the next several years. Goalie prospects are a total crapshoot, take the proven NHL players and another guy on the cusp of playing top-6 in Edmonton.Originally Posted by Bobby4Ever
