Keeper Spot - Yandle or Russell

I got 1 keeper spot left between these 2 guys. Who would you take? I don\'t know why but I find this decision really hard. I love Russell but I think Yandle has a much better opportunity. Ideas?

I think Yandle will out produce Russell for a couple of seasons before they even up and they swith spots. Yandle may turn out to be a little more consistent, but I think Russell has more upside.

Yandle is still behind Jovo to run the PP in PHX, whereas I believe it\'s Russell\'s spot to lose in CLB.

I\'d hold onto Russell... but not by much!

Arghhh! I understand the difficulty here. I say Russell by a blond one. Best way to do this is flip a coin - when the coin is in the air you will find yourself rooting for it to land a certain way and that will tell you which decision to make.

I\'m gonna go against the grain here... go with Yandle. Russell was a stud in juniors too... but I just get this feeling with Yandle that he is gonna blow up. This years Mike Green in my opinion. Not quite those numbers, but the guy to do it. He seems to have made the transition faster than Russell did, and I love his opportunity in Phoenix. I\'d take Yandle...but not by much.

I\'d say Yandle gets more points this year and next, but within 3-4 years Russel will consistently outproduce him.
If theres a candidate for the next Mike Green, Russel is as good as any.

Yandle competes with a solid core of fowards, Jovo, Michalek, Morris for PP minutes. Jovo will get the lions share.

Russell competes with nobody (let me look it up)Tyutin, Backman, Commodore, Klesla. Then we check the forwards... tell you what, opportunity doesn\'t get any better. Russell was in the NHL last year. He\'s high pedigree. He\'s crazy small.

I still think that that leaves Russell way out front in this discussion. I can\'t see where extended stats play much of a role in the discussion as at the moment both are so far below the bar that they\'re not really useful.

Well, you pretty much answered your own question. I agree with your view... as a player, I prefer Russell, but Yandle is in an excellent situation right now. Because of that, I think KY will be the better option out of these two for the next 3-5 years. After that, Russell\'s slight edge in individual talent may overcome Yandle in fantasy value.

Right now, though, I would choose Yandle.

I like Russell for the long term but I would take Yandle right now I think he could have a good year this season.

its close, I can see why you are having trouble deciding. I\'d keep Russel though, I think he\'s in the best position to succeed
