Welcome RR,
As for the soft cap I don\'t quite understand the issue. We all knew coming into the draft that we had a cap of $1000. I\'m against this raise of $250 cause all it really does is help out those ppl who took chances on players like Jagr, Radulov, ect. We all knew the rules and took our chances. Why the sudden change?

this wasn\'t addressed in your email, so I thought I would ask. What is the rule for trading? Do we wait for yahoo like IR or do the floodgates open before the supplemental draft?

I just don\'t want trading going on the same time drafting is. It takes my focus away from the draft being the Commish.
That gives me exactly one day to plug everything into Yahoo. Of course, I will have the vast majority of it entered once Yahoo opens the Fantasy Hockey section.

I also feel that a good way to use the soft cap is to only allow teams to go over the $1000 cap is to do so by trading, not waiver or FA pickups. Sure you might get guys picking up players just to deal them but good for them, if they have the cap room to pick up a player and stay under the $1000 cap and then trade them for someone better to a team that wants to add cap the good for them.
Once you trade up to be over the $1000 you can only pick up players with a salary upto that of a player you put on IR or drop.

And as well, as a guy who would greatly benefit from the extra picks from the supp draft i plan on not being a part of it even though i will have my team to the cap and not a full roster.
