Hey Comish, rule/yahoo question for you:

During the draft we are allowed to select any player essentially (over 18). Once the season starts is there any limitation on who can be claimed as a FA? can I grab a KHL player that is rumored to be heading to the NHL? or a journeyman AHLer that hasn\'t played in the NHL in 4 years? I don\'t see any restictions in the rules nor do I have any experience with Yahoo so I don\'t know how comprehensive their player database is...

I believe as long as they have been drafted by an NHL team at one point in time, they should be good to go.

mtm has it right. The intention once a player is drafted or signed by an NHL team, then they are free game in our pool.

Even if Yahoo doesn\'t have the player listed, I will allow it, but you would have to leave a spot open on your reserve list in order to keep a player not listed in Yahoo on your roster.

If McCabe or Kubina go to the Isles, than that will eat up some of his PP time and decrease his points. Don\'t get your panties in a twist.. I have some other options that I can share with you if you\'d like? :P

perfect, a little different than my understanding so I am glad I asked (i.e. Brunnstrom was not eligible prior to signing with the Stars even though he was \'draft eligible\') - Thanks for the response
