Getzlaf available, should I bite?

The Getzlaf owner came to me and said that he was available, he's looking for an upgrade on D, something like Getzlaf + lesser D vs lesser forward + D.

His d-men are :

T.Enstrom
C.Fowler
A.Pietrangelo

Should I buy low on Getzlaf and if so, what would be a good offer?

When you say he wants an upgrade on D, would you be willing to part with Subban? Other than Subban, I don't see any of your defenders being enough to get Getzlaf

Agreed, but if Getz is available, I would say the other GM is panicking, and you can get him on the cheap.

Throw him an offer like Shultz + C. Smith for Getz + Fowler. Who knows???

Exactly, he's panicking... I'm pretty sure that Subban isn't necessary in this deal.

I agree that the GM might be panicking, but I think that is way too low, even for a first offer. Maybe Schultz, Neal, and Lee for Getzlaf

Both of you mentionned Schultz... what about Vatanen? From what I'm seeing, Schultz is still getting 1st PP minutes while Vatanen is on the 2nd unit (Lindholm is on the 1st). Vatanen might have a bit more "name value" no?

I also don't see this happening wihtout including Subban. And I'm not sure offering someone three games into the seaosn in panicking? It's possible the other dude just has terrible D....

There's panicking and then there's being certifiably insane.
I don't know how he upgrades on D without Subban being in the mix. Schultz is not an upgrade over Fowler IMO.
The only thing that makes sense from his perspective is a Subban for Pietro upgrade.

Something like Subban/Hayes for Getzlaf/Pietro might work.

I don't know how he upgrades on D without Subban being in the mix. Schultz is not an upgrade over Fowler IMO.

I think that's a good idea. You'll probably have to include Subban so something like Geztlaf and Pietro for Subban and another forward sounds like a good offer
