Its definitely a bad trade, I can see why it was vetoed
I think the Malkin side wins, but no way it should be vetoed.

Having trades needing approval by consensus vote is a BIG problem...some managers will simply veto every trade that they think:
- has the slightest misvaluation
- theyd have offered more
- makes a team better than theirs
This trade is NO WHERE near vetoable.

I'd leave the league if a good hockey trade gets vetoed for no reason.
I'm OK with trades getting vetoed for reasons other than collusion. I've been in a number of pools where we have peopl that might not be all that up on hockey and can get completely fleeced in a trade. Really unbalanced trades are as bad for a pool as "collusion", which incidentally can never be proven without someone admitting to it.
That said, this trade is not something I'd consider all that unbalanced. The Malkin side probably wins but it's not as though there's no risks with Malkin, and frankly the Zetterberg side might even put up more points this year. It's a bold trade and not something that should have been vetoed.

And that right there is why trading in fantasy is near impossible! Fair trades get vetoed when they shouldn't be.
I agree that generally for me the only trade I will veto is one that has some hint of collusion. Otherwise, owners generally will only accept a trade they think they are getting some benefit from so my veto may interfere with their strategy.

No way in hell should that trade be vetoed.
Two years ago in my keeper league, an injured Pacioretty got traded for Cory Conacher. I just laughed, shook my head and said 'good for the new Patches owner'. I will fleece an opponent every chance I get, so I'm certainly not going to stop someone else from fleecing someone. This is far from a fleecing. It looks like a star-for-depth type of trade, so let it go.
