I would, Saad already has the guaranteed top 6 with PP time like contract. Gally may have a bit higher ceiling but you get a better floor with Saad

Haha, I think this might be a divided thread for feedback.

I actually prefer Galchenyuk. I think we've seen what Saad can do, and Galchenyuk's floor going forward will be what Saad does - but the sky is the limit for Galchenyuk.

dobberites are going to say gally, but i like saad myself. gally has frustrated me in previous leagues since he came into league, i think because my expectations were too high.

In a dynasty league I wouldn't make this deal. Not this year anyways. Saad's production will be fairly similar this year (55-60 or so), whereas Gally's could spike (maybe 55-60 too). Galchenyuk still has the higher ceiling and he could show some of that this year. If he really wants Gally then this deal will still be here a year from now, and making the deal right now won't even help you win.

Even if Gally doesn't go nuts, their production is gonna be close (within 10 points), so it's not like you're losing out on a lot in this scenario.

The commentor said that "gally has frustrated me in previous leagues for years." The point was only Galchenyuk is 21 (a puppy) and most 21 year old have not accomplished what he has in ONLY 3 years.

And what I am saying is that Saad is approx. the same age and is ahead in development. Galchenyuk has been hyped on here for the last 3 years and everyone expects him to be a star which I don't think will happen

yeah rusty is saying what i meant to say originally. my expectations for him then were much higher than they are now. and yes 21 is young but i was originally under the impression that he was going to pull a forsberg type season right out of the gate and was disappointed at the time. my mistake from reading too much into the dobber hype as it sometimes happens.

i just like the style saad plays better and that leaks into my valuation of players when they are so close talent and opportunity-wise.

Tough call as I am high on both going forward.

Offensively, I think Galchenyuk has the higher offensive ceiling but the big question is, will he ever reach it in Montreal?
