DobberHockey will be having a three-tier roto competition going this season, including an expert league. All divisions and details will be run by Burnsy (Chris Burns). Here are some more details.

DobberHockey Pro Division

This is another invite-only division and it has certain criteria. Criteria #1: you must buy the pool guide (a no-brainer, as I’m sure you have already) by September 1. Criteria #2: you must be a regular participant in the forum. Priority invites go to the members who have participated the most (as of this moment). They have the right of first refusal.

The top two finishers in the pro division will have the right to participate in the Expert Division next season. The bottom two from the Expert will drop to the pro division. The top two will also receive next year’s version of the Ultimate Fantasy Pack, plus a DobberHockey T-shirt. Burnsy will have rules and drafting information within two weeks or so.

Entry Division
This is purely for Pool Guide Buyers. If you bought a pool guide by September 1, you will be automatically entered into a random draw. Twelve people will receive invites via email on September 2. Any who refuse, or do not respond within 48 hours, will be replaced by more random draws. Top two finishers will receive same prizes as in the pro division, and will also win the right to enter the Pro Division next season. Details on that to come….

I\'m hoping for a random selection into the entry draft...but I\'m actually getting married September 1st (and creating another wife to a fantasy hockey junky) and leaving for Europe on the 2nd...I know fantasy hockey should come first, but after having sunk $15K into a wedding, my $100/year fantasy habit seems like nothing.

Is there any way we could have some sort of advance accept (assuming you are accepted, you would not have to wait for a response?)

Dobber - nice work on the promo for the soon to be released guide.
I especiially like the blackened out sections.
If you ever choose to go on to another profession might I suggest writing ransom notes.

I am also so lame that I\'ll admit I actually spent some time on the example examining the roster and the varying blackened field lengths to see if I could predict the removed names.

Oh well, I\'m off to get some dry shorts.

I too will accept if it makes it down to me. I echo the request to find out the site that will be used but my best guess would be that it is thecommonfan.com site that Dobbs has used in the past.
