Default Who to draft 1st overall in a redraft?

Typical PPR points setting (slight variations for QBS)
    QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1WR/RB/TE, 1DEF, 1K, 8BN, 1IR
Keepers are keep 4 or 5 and give up your 1st round pick. My keepers are:
Wilson – QB, CJ Andersen – RB, Frank Gore – RB, and Julio Jones – WR.
I have the first overall and 6th overall.

Top 10 ranked players available are:
    Latavius Murray – RB (29)
    Melvin Gordon – RB (34)
    Brees – QB (36)
    J. Randle – RB (37)
    Davante Adams – WR (41)
    Abdullah – RB (46)
    Kelce – TE (49)
    Ivory – RB (52)
    Golden Tate – WR (53)
    Matt Ryan – QB (54)
    Amari Cooper – WR (55)
    Yeldon – RB (56)

I’m thinking Murray then Cooper, but that makes me almost locked in for a WR to be drafted with my 3rd pick, and a RB locked in for my flex for the rest of the yr. I’d expect a WR to be a good idea to have in your flex in a PPR league right?

    C: Horvat, Trocheck
LW: J. Robertson, Byfield (C), Guenther
RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas
    Util: Meier (LW, RW)

I would consider Kelce, then Cooper. You know what you are getting with Kelce, then Cooper will fill a WR slot. I would make sure to get a WR for one of the two picks as its a start 3 WR and likely want a WR in flex as well.

Adams, Kelce, Murray, Abdullah, Cooper, Gordon. Yes, you want a WR or elite RB in your flex. So I think that you want to draft WR, TE, or high upside RBs. And make sure you grab Hillman and Josh Robinson later on.

PPR, the guy you want is Ivory, not Murray. Murray is a 2 down back that will be yanked on 3rds for Helu. He's not terrible in the pass game (like Morris) but he's not a stud. ivory has been working on his catching and is head and shoulders above everyone else in the Jets backfield. Chan Gailey is also the OC for the Jets now and if you want to know what he can do for RBs in PPR leagues, go back and look at Spiller and Jackson's stats in Buffalo when Gailey was the coach. Guess who was the QB as well? Yup Fitzpatrick. Ivory is going to have a huge season.

Based on what you have already I would pick Kelce, Tate, Ivory, Yeldon in that order. In a PPR, I would expect Tate to go soon, and then you can snag Ivory at #6. But I would be very happy with 2 of those 4.

Here’s my draft. I had my internet cut out on my first pick where I wanted Cooper, but Murray was auto-picked instead. I don’t mind that tho.
    1. (46) L.Murray
    2. (51) Davante Adams
    3. (61) S. Watkins
    4. (71) L. Fitzgerald
    5. (81) R. Mathews
    6. (91) P.Garcon
    7. (101) M. Wheaton
    8. (121) DaVante Parker
    9. (131) R. Hillman
    10. (141) R. Bush
    11. (151) C. Parkey
    12. (154) C. Latimer
    13. (161) Carolina (Stream)
    14. (171) L. Donnell (Stream)
    So my team looks like:
    QB (1): Wilson
    WR (3): J. Jones, D. Adams, S. Watkins, L. Fitzgerald, P. Garcon, M. Wheaton, D. Parker, C. Latimer
    RB (2): CJ Anderson, F. Gore, L. Murray, R. Mathews, R. Hillman, R. Bush
    TE (1): L. Donnell
    FLEX (1)
    K: Parkey
    Def: Carolina

I would like to add I do not have a good chance at winning this yr. A guys keepers were like Forte, Charles, Brown, and Cobb.

Shitty luck with the autodraft of Murray. I think you should look to move him in a trade, along with someone like Fitzgerald & Wheaton. I think you could use another pass catching back besides Anderson and Gore. Bush is very good late round pick in PPR but I just worry about his injury history when it comes to a full season. Good job handcuffing Anderson with Hillman.

Forte, JC, AB and Cobb in PPR, damn thats nice....And I thought I had it made with Peterson, Bell and Cobb as my keep 3.

Good draft. Glad that Adams and Watkins fell to you where they did. Both have a shot to out produce Cooper, if it's any consolation. Really think you should drop someone (Latimer ?) for Josh Robinson, or at least keep a close eye on that situation. Also not sold on CAR as a good week 1 streamer, but maybe I've just been fooled by preseason Blake Bortles.

Agreed. Not just Bortles, but Jacksonville will be a lot better than everyone thinks. They have a legitimate offense right now if Bortles keeps that foot forward like it was in preseason.

But 1st game of the season most offenses are not firing on all cylinders yet. And i figured Carolina vs a Young, new offense will do better than nothing
